The Savanna has many different species of plants, such as:
-Acacia Senegal -Bermuda grass
-Baobabs-Candelabra tree -Whistling thorn
-elephant grass -Jackalberry tree
-Umbrella thorn Acacia
Fun facts:
~ Around 2 million large plant-eating mammals live in the savanna.
~ The Serengeti Plains are a grass savanna that has very dry but nutrient-rich volcanic sand.
~ Many plants have developed long tap roots to be able to reach down to water.
~ Certain types of trees have thick, fire resistant bark and trunks that are able to store water.
